D Day today (Drier Day)
Happy Birthday Rob Moore Jock turn up this morning and set about checking the rest of the machine. Steve and I set about cleaning the dry side shed, and move various machines from the wet side. Ray bodenham came about eleven   o'clock then About 12 o'clock we started to fill the hopper in anger after about 30 minutes we had the top bed full so decided before we start the hot fans to dry for real we would have dinner. So about half past one it was all go Steve loading the hopper and Ray, Jock & I looking on and listening. We dried about 50 tonnes in 4 hours the only problem is the screw conveyor keeps tripping it overload and if not noticed soon enough the dryer closes down. Jock thinks a cover in the hopper over it would sort that out.
