Happy birthday to Caroline, James Yeoward, Dave Evans, and Petula Clarke.
I started the morning determined to get to the bottom of the generator problem. Rang Rob ? who designed the replacement AVR card he said don't put it on speak to George Roper. He said pull the old one off and take it to him, in Wolverhampton. George tested the card to find it all OK and suggested that there should be a Volt regulator knob some where and the two phase connections to test for 415 Volts. I phone Martin to suggest He and Steve replace all and every piece we pull off so we just need to connect and start. After dinner we fired it up Martin with the volt meter on the said connections me on a knob in the cabinet and Steve watching the V meter on the door got it close to 400 Volts as possible and managed to test the motors all except the trace chain motor we think because the voltage was not stable or dropping. I summoned Ray bod to attend with his Digital Ref Counter and in the intervening period the engine stopped, on inspection the governor Solenoid had gone open circuit and blown a fuse.  So tomorrows business is to track down a replacement or some one to rewind the damaged one.First call is Beta Plant. It rained most of the day we have registered 6.3 mm and the temp is quite mild @ 11:00 pm it is 12.4 C as warm as its been all day
