Bright and dry to-day it got very warm out of the wind. I took the challenger and the drill to Norton, intending to come back with Fiona and trailer of Fert but The tractor had a flat tyre, so I rang steve to pick me up. Also the potato lads had rolled the ground on one headland with trailers etc which I had intended to plant. I took the Manitou and a trailer to Norton next. then started drlling,Steve was top dressing rape and wheat at Norton and David spraying wheat at Coppice House. About dinner time the PTO shaft extention on the Cat rounded itself completely so there was no drive to the drill pump, luckily I managed to raise Mark from Corfields who came and rebuilt the shaft. I finished the bean drilling at Norton except the above headlands
